Jozef M. Debiec, MD
Dr. Debiec was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton. In the history of the University, he remains the only alum to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Mathematics in four years. For his medical training, Dr. Debiec attended the State University of New York at Brooklyn –Downstate Medical Center and graduated with Honors in Anesthesiology. He went on to complete both an Anesthesiology residency and Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Debiec is board certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, and Interventional Pain Management. To expand his breadth of pain treatment modalities, Dr. Debiec completed training in medical acupuncture at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital-Harvard Medical School, and he is certified by the State Medical Board of New York to practice medical acupuncture.
Dr. Debiec is committed to staying on the forefront of pain treatment; this is evident through his vigorous clinical training and involvement in clinical research. His most recent work was published in Anesthesiology, the worldwide leading journal of anesthesia and pain medicine research.
